Shadow Shot Sunday

Shadow Shot Sunday
Hey, Harriet! Thanks!

More Pagan Sphinx House Shadows
These were taken Wednesday at around 7:30 a.m. in our living room.

Lamps

Buddha and the Llamas

One of the reasons I felt a connectedness to this house was because when I first visited here nearly five years ago, was immediately drawn to the Buddha in the living room. It belonged to WP's late wife, Anne. She left behind a very discernible sense of peace. The llamas, however, belong to The Girls and me. They're very dear. Those are little turquoise nuggets they carry in their side packs. If anyone can remind me of the name for those sacks, please comment.

  2. There is beauty in some corners and in others, it's chaos. Looks like an antique shop in disarray. I only photographed the good corners. ;-) I think the dust may be evident in the first picture. Those items are atop a glassed bookshelf. One of the nicer antiques in the house. The room is currently a storage area for stuff that had to be removed from the floor that WP has been working on laying down. We got tile-look plastic flooring. Had to. Both wood and tile would've added too much height and interfered with the early 50's baseboard heaters. The joys of an older house! Anyway, it's looking pretty nice. A huge improvement from the original wax lanoleum floor made to similate brick. Totally shot. :-P

But I digress. In a nutshell, my house in process of some renovations and I'm doing my best to stay calm. I think that's why I posted the photos this way. It's a way I have some control. Simplistic but I think very true. Hadn't thought about that at the time.

  3. I think the Mr. Linky thing is not working for me again. It's elusive, let me tell you. It's not been handling my registration but then I've gotten emails from Harriet saying that she could see I'd linked my post. Peculiar.

Anyway, the barn shadows were a few weeks ago.

  9. Once again, excellent photos. I really like the shadow theme. Shadows are the kind of things that people don't usually notice and it's a different way of looking at things.
