  2. Those are some beautiful photos! You left a comment on my blog about professional wedding photos... are these them?

  3. P.S. I particularly like the one where they are sitting on the steps. For some reason that one really strikes me. Congratulations to all!

  4. I also saw many of these photos on CR's site.
Your photographer was absolutely the best!
The girls are so lovely, and look so happy. I love the feet! And for some reason, I love the last photo, holding hands, heading up the stairs. My prayers and best wishes are with them for a long, happy life together.

  9. The first set of photos that I posted some weeks back were just snapshots that the girls took of each other and had others take in the hotel before the ceremony.

The girls hired this photographer, who had come highly recommended from some blog friends of theirs for his great photos of couples at San Francisco City Hall. I think he did an incredible job! These are probably the coolest wedding pics I've ever seen. But of course I am prejudiced!

I'm so happy and proud. Thanks all for coming by.

    Peace & Love,
    Gina

  10. indeed a beautiful elopement...i love the one where they are sitting on the steps and also where you had their shoes photographed...priceless.
thank you for sharing with us a special moment in their lives.

  11. Those pix are positively gorgeous! I love the picture of their feet! So whimsical!

  12. Did SG1 really run across the road with those little high shoes on? :O Wow. She always did have the knack with heels. I swear she wore the plastic pink slipper ones at age four better than I are mother at any age. The Beloved's shoe choice would have been more what I'd done.

What kind of shoes did you all wear at your weddings?

    I wore ballet slippers.

  13. That's 'cause you always valued practicality.

    And 'cause I'm so little!

Seriously, those photos make me cry tears of joy at each viewing. And the one of the shoes is perfectly magical!

We have a lot to be proud of - our first baby has grown up to be a fine young woman, and against all odds, has found a similarly beautiful and brilliant soul to share her life with.

    I really couldn't be happier!

  14. I'm a tad lonesome already; with her being so grown-up and all. And soon leaving us for the West Coast. I'm preparing myself is all I can say.

But, yes. So proud. So very, very proud and happy.

  15. The look on SG1's face as they exchange vows just blows me away every time. As do all the photos. I just want to hug your whole family and melt with bliss.

    Every joy to them.

  16. these are so touching, they made me weep a little...the one on the steps is so heartbreakingly emotional....at least to me....I can only imagine the walk to this place they have taken together....I hope for them years and years of happiness...and the shoes, the shoes, what a kick!!! and TWO wedding gowns...really gorgeous girls, please give them my wishes for their happiness. (cannot sign into facebook last I looked but will try again.)

  17. This soundtrack is far more my era, than theirs, but I just can't resist:

We've only just begun to live
    White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way

    We've only begun

Before the rising sun, we fly
    So many roads to choose
    We start out walking
    And learn to run

    And yes! We've just begun

Sharin' horizons that are new to us
Watchin' the signs along the way
Talkin' it over just the two of us
Workin' together day to day, together

And when the evening comes, we smile
    So much of life ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to grow

    And yes! We've just begun

Sharin' horizons that are new to us
Watchin' the signs along the way
Talkin' it over just the two of us
Workin' together day to day, together, together

And when the evening comes, we smile
    So much of life ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to grow

    And yes! We've just begun
    We've only just begun...

Blessings and happiness to SG1 & Beloved "4 Ever"! ;-D

  18. Sylvia, Ed, Singing Bear, Judy (Kenju), Di, Bobbie, Sherry: my good bloggie friends who are always there for me - hugs and love back to you! I'm getting all sentimental now...

Good Life: Thank you for your comment. So nice to get new people who support love in all of its manifestations!

Paul: I hardly know you and yet your warmth and love come through to us in a way that is just so meaningful but it's real and we can feel it. Thanks ever so much for your kindness and generosity in extending yourself toward our family.

Dearest JCF: what a perfect song! My era too. I always loved the Carpenters. I don't think their brilliance was appreciated enough in
their time. Thank you for the song and for your support and friendship, which mean so much.

CR: the father of one of the brides - I'm lucky, they're lucky, we're lucky that you are their dad.
    Hugs and love to you.

  19. BEAUTIFUL!!!
    Congratulations to all concerned.

  20. The photo of the brides sitting on the steps was a great shot. Blessings to them.

  21. I also agree these are the coolest wedding pictures I've ever seen. Kudos to the photographer, the lovely brides and the architects of SF City Hall. Peace and blessings :-)

  22. Susan: All those things contributed to some really great photos. The girls were both brought up on stories and dreams. I love how they refuse to let reality slap them in the face. Well, it does but they resist the sting.

    THank you, Susan

  23. Wow these are gorgeous. I don't think I've seen more beautiful wedding photos. It's very inspiring seeing these two so in love. May it always be so.

  24. Oh - I viewed every photo in the albums. What beautiful brides. And their officiant was photogenic, too!

  25. Steve,
Thank you for your warmth and good wishes. You've been a terrific bloggie friend and I'm deeply grateful and honored that you come here.

  26. PS,

If it's not prying to ask (ignore this, if it is) what, if anything, has "Vova" {sp?}, your mother, been told about the wedding?

Has she seen these beautiful pics?

  27. "Joy gentle friends, joy, and fresh days of love accompany thy hearts"

I saw the same expression on my beloved's face when I married her in October, though we are 20+ years older than your lovelies.

And still we rise....all of us.

  28. jcf,
That's a bit of a sore spot with me. Every time I talk on the phone with my mother, she brings up the subject of SG1/Beloved and dismisses it as a "phase" and reminds me to remind SG1 that she should never "bring that stuff over here" - meaning the "gay thing" - because everyone will just ridicule SG1 and she can't bear it. I just listen and don't say a whole lot because I love my mother; I know she loves SG1 with all her heart and I don't want the fall-out to carry over into my long-distance relationship with my mother. She does not know about the wedding and I'll leave it up to SG1 to share photos with her if she chooses. SG1 in turn, adores her grandmother but has basically resigned herself to the fact that her grandmother doesn't get it; can't get it and that's ok. By the same token, she's not about to make apologies for her choices. Further, if SG1 were to tell her grandmother about the wedding, it is I who would be the recipient of the fall-out. And frankly, I'm not itching to have my joy and pride rained upon by my mother's attitudes toward this. They are hers; she's made her choice to believe what she believes about it. It just means that SG1's dad and I have to make up in spades for what she doesn't get from her grandmother; which she would get if she were heterosexual. The world will change one day but right now Vovo is not ready for it.

  29. Well, PS, unless and until (Vovo's ready to change), it's emphatically HER loss. :-/

You and BP are lovely in your own ways, IT! ;-)

And still we rise....all of us.

    AMEN!!!

  30. jcf: "her loss" - my sentiments exactly. Though I know that she appreciates everything else about SG1 and is so proud of her in every other way. It's hard for me. Why not this?? Why not? My head understands but my heart just can't.

What is the quote about, jcf? Is the IT who comments frequently at Priest's?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sheesh. My apologies. I somehow missed IT's nice comment. I had one of those brain burps I'm so often having these days. I seem to say "these days" a lot, too. And it's usually not about anything other than symptoms of getting old (er).

Thank you, IT - I left a comment on one of your blogs. I will return to the one with Padre and others. You guys are on top of it.

  32. I popped in to view your shaodw shots just now and then noticed all the cool things in your sidebar & clicked something interesting and landed here. I can't believe I missed this beautiful post & I'm only seeing it now! Don't know how that happened! A very belated congrats to your gorgeous daughter & partner. Such a stunning couple they make & I LOVE these photos!

  33. These are absolutely stunning photos of the most beautiful girls! They look so precious both in their dresses. Awww. Seriously. I'm such a baby- I'm all choked up! Please give them lots of love from their new, unknown adopted "evil auntie" in the desert.

  34. Is there any way to see all of the photos again? The links have expired. I wanted to show my partner the pics, as she's not a reader here, but am not sure if they are still somewhere else where we could view them.

    Thanks! :)
