But when the melancholy fit shall fall Sudden from heaven like a weeping cloud, That fosters the droop-headed flowers all, And hides the green hill in an April shroud; Then glut thy sorrow on a morning rose, Or on the rainbow of the salt sand-wave, Or on the wealth of globed peonies; Or if thy mistress some rich anger shows, Imprison her soft hand, and let her rave, And feed deep, deep upon her peerless eyes.
I have the same one growing in my garden. T just love them. I'm also impressed by the painting you used as your blog header. How beautiful is it? The light composition is phenomenal as is the details of the people. Quite amazing! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteSudden from heaven like a weeping cloud,

Or if thy mistress some rich anger shows,

And feed deep, deep upon her peerless eyes.

When I see peonies, I think of little ants crawling all over the buds.
ReplyDeleteLove your bottom shot especially. That one little pink flower opening one petal at us, like a wink.
Oh, I can smell the fragrance from here. Beautiful photos of luscious flowers.
