SYDNEY, AU (REUTERS).- Some 5,200 Australians posed naked in front of the Sydney Opera House on Monday for a photo shoot by New York-based artist Spencer Tunick for another signature installation of nudes against urban backdrops. On a chilly, overcast, first day of autumn, the mass nude photo shoot was titled "Mardi Gras: The Base" and meant to celebrate Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras last weekend.

ReplyDeletePeople are amazing, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteAh, folk will be folk, even if its cold, lets go for a pint, empty place??
ReplyDeleteI feel compelled to tell you a short story about our life here in Spadoville.
ReplyDeleteEver since my own children were born, when they wouyld get out of the bath or shower, or just be changing clothes, and i would catch a glimpse of them, I'd chant, "Nekkid, nekkid, nekkid" at them. I'd say it real fast and point at them.
Now, so many years, (and so many new faces with Grandkids) later, We all do it to each other. And you don';t have to be totally nude. Just some exposed skin showing is enough.
The purpose of telling you this is because I wanted to, and it was about being nekkid. After all, this is Friday Night Nudes.
Peace.
Mary: glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteSusan: absolutely!
