Would You Allow Someone to Paint Your Portrait?

Take the quiz to the right, won't you?

Portrait of Jeanne Hébuterne
Modigliani's last muse

If you answered "in a heartbeat" to the poll question, send me the image of a portrait by a painter whom you'd want to paint your portrait and in what style.

  1. I chose Andrew Wyeth or Edward Hopper, but I don't know how to send them to you here.

  2. Maybe Jackson Pollock!

  3. Kenju: I think I have your email address in my list of contacts. I'll drop you a line and you can send me your favorite portrait by one of those artists. Though Hopper didn't typically paint portraits, did he? Not sure.

SB: ha! :-D I'll have to try to dig up a Pollock that reveals something of a face or figure. Hard to do!

  4. I suppose it would have to be William Hogarth!

  5. Excellent! I think I have something to work with here for a post on portraits.

Thanks, all. You do keep me going!

  6. None other than Rembrandt in the style of the Danae :-)
