Hi, Sunita - welcome. If you click on the photo, you'll see it's a little boy on a sled with his arms outstretched - the shadow created looks like an airplane, which I thought was pretty cool.
Bobbie: thanks. I'm going to link it to SSS when the link is up. :-)
One thing about snow is that you get the most wonderful shadows. The little boy's shadow in your first shot looks like a cormorant drying off its wings. The second shot could be a beach scene, if you discounted the overkill in the clothing department!
Love them all, but the first two are extra special! They're so sweet. Your snow looks so clean & soft and fun to play in. I've never played in snow. I really feel as though I'm missing out! I will have to visit your snowy country one day. And of course time it right so that it is actually snowing when I'm there :) Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
i always love red in photos. i love the fact that you are surrounded by all those girls in your family. brilliant. girl power. me, artist of the week???? you gotta be kidding, i am such an amateur!
Hey, Harriet: the snow is very clean; pristine, really. Out in a field like the one pictured, it stays clean until the snow starts to melt; then it's a big, muddy mess! But it's been truly gorgeous here this winter. I have actually enjoyed more since I started taking my camera absolutely everywhere I go. Now I actually often want to trample around and walk and stay outside for as long as possible.
Thanks for stopping by, luv. I'm so glad that I know you out there. Maybe one day we could exchange houses!!! Entertain that thought! :-)
soulbrush! yes, girls, girls, girls. It's interesting 'round here. But at least I understand where the drama comes from. ;-)
Steve: I like that shot, too. I also took the most adorable shots of the dearest little boy playing in the snow but I don't have permission to post them. I will, however, be forwarding them to his parents; who I'm sure will appreciate them. :-)
Thorne, Lisa B, barbara, richie, rosebud, raven, Sara Chapman, Summer Kitchen, Hot Fudge, Diva, Sandra, Carletta, Sweet Repose - thank you all for coming by. You made it a more fun day!
These really are fun photos! That looks like one monster of a sledding hill. How long did it take the kids to climb back up to the top? Did they sleep well for you?! I like your swing shadow shots a lot. Have a wonderful week without too much doom and gloom about your path!
Very nice. I really like the shot of the two swings and the ice in the seats. It really makes me think about how cold all of that snow is because I sure wouldn't put my butt in that cold seat. :-D
Thank you for taking the time to say you've been here.

Thats amazing! What is that? Some kind of stuffed toy? I love the way its shadow looks like a plane.
ReplyDeleteA fun picture! His shadow is great too!

That is a great shot, PS. Creates a sort of visual cliche. I like it.
ReplyDeleteAwww...fun in the snow! I love the swing shadows!
ReplyDeleteMakes me remember my youth. Wonderful shadow shots! The first one does look like a plane!

ReplyDeleteI was trying to get some good shadows while the kids were sledding today....nothing was working! Glad you got some great shots!!
ReplyDeleteIt's the swings, number 4, that really does it for me. Great one! Thanks for posting such a nice shadow for Sunday.
ReplyDeleteAll great shadows but I particularly liked the first one as it put a smile on my face!

The swings! That's my favorite this time. Great shot. The snow on top, shaded as it is with high contrast, is the icing on this cake.

Those playground shadows shots were fun to take.

I love them all but the shadows of the swings, especially on snow, are really wonderful
ReplyDeleteSledding is loads of fun. It was bitterly cold when these pictures were taken. But today it got up to 38, possibly higher. There is a thaw going on.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadows, I've not sat on one before, now that will be so cool to try :D
ReplyDeleteM.Kate - it's not swinging weather, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for stopping by!
