My post, Jazz: Transgender Children and Gender Independence is up at The Peace Tree, if you care to read it.
And while you're there, check out incredible, original poetry and art by the one and only Poetryman, The Peace Tree's keeper extraordinaire. There are many other great bloggers who contribute: Dark Daughta, Betmo, Enigma4ever, Case Wagenvoord, Graem, Mentarch and Robert. I hope I've not left anyone out.
Yours in Peace,
Pagan

ReplyDeleteGotta go look - but outta time tonight!
ReplyDeleteIf only all parents could simply love their children, whoever they are.
ReplyDeleteForgive me. My brain is old and tired. It is often difficult for me to come up with an adequate response to your posts immediately.
Pagan - that's beautiful and sad and inspiring all at once. I'm glad that there is so much more awareness of the complexity of human gender. I recall some kids growing up who were not comfortable with the very simplistic and inflexible definitions we all bought into then.
ReplyDeleteBut I know there is still so far to go, and so many kids and adults who are in intolerant situations.
And what good fortune Mazzy had to be in your class.
Pagan Sphinx,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your constant support and your contribution to The Tree.
bobbie,
ReplyDeleteYou may be old (?) but your brain is not.
PS,
ReplyDeleteThank you...
Thanks, friends. If Mazzy doesn't come back to school, I will miss her terribly. I hope that she has the courage to face a world of intolerance with her head high and her self intact. I like to think that the love and unconditional acceptance she received in my classroom will help her get a good start in her next year of schooling.
ReplyDeleteJan: thanks for visiting my blog. I'll have to check yours out when I have a chance.
