  1. Well, one out of four happy headlines isn't too terribly bad these days.

  2. Regarding the "Candidates Clash on Terrorism" headline: I'm glad to see Obama taking a hard stance on this and strongly countering the continued lies and distortions of Bush and McCain.

I wasn't thrilled to hear Obama's possible plan to invade Pakistan. As an objector to war, I can't support this by conscience. Otherwise, I feel pretty comfortable with what Obama has to say about his approach to terrorism.

  3. I read the article on terrorism and this is what I have to say:
This 9/11 boogie man is a straw man. I blame the republicans, who were fully in charge of this country, of not doing anything to prevent the attacks. Indeed, they may have wanted them to happen and deliberately did nothing to stop them. Think I'm crazy? You tell me with a straight face how 4 errant airplanes are allowed to continue flying for over 2 hours without the military doing a damn thing about it? That's not possible unless you plan it that way. Usually when air traffic control loses touch with a plane and repeated attempts to make contact fail a military jet will go up to investigate and all this happens in minutes, not hours. It was that way BEFORE 9/11 and it is that way NOW as well--but for some reason on that day it didn't happen, the disaster just kept on unfolding and Bush had his ass planted on some chair in a school down in Florida while Cheney is calling the shots in Washington DC.

  4. Right on, Lib. That was my second reaction to hearing about the 9/11: how could this not have been prevented???? Everyone at my school, where I was in it happened, just looked at me blankly.

    Fuckers.

  5. the footage of Bush sitting in that elementary school classroom is a dead give-away. That little had to have known what was up. It took him, what, 20 minutes to react?

  6. I get really angry about the republicans using 9/11 against the democratic party. The democratic party, if it had half a brain, would crucify the republicans with this but they don't. I know the republicans would hang this dead chicken around our democratic necks to rot if the shoe was on the other foot.

Boy am I mean or what?

Well, my brother-in-law died that day in the Pentagon so I don't feel like being nice.

  7. I hope Obama keeps countering the bastards. In my opinion, he's speaking out more strongly against them than Gore or Kerry. Of course, things have gotten worse and there is so much more information that they lied about Iraq. It's not just we lefties talking about it anymore; it has become more of a mainstream position. Or maybe living in liberal Massachusetts makes me a little insular?
