Pagan's Potpourri

I have a few things to share with you from my travels on The Web.  I hope you enjoy them.

You never know who you'll meet at the pool, after hours.

If you feel the need to insult someone, why not do it with a literary flair?

  1. O Gina thank you, you have such excellent taste, plucking these flowers from the vast garden and offering them to your friends.

  2. I love the Kay Nielsen stuff particularly _ Aubrey Beardsley in Lothlorien!

  3. Hi! Such a great collection, or "Pagan's potpourri," and loved your choice to refer to it as such. The video in particular was just too sweet; how did you manage to find such an animated gem? And of course, the illustrations were breathtakingly imaginitive and inspiring. No doubt your friend Susan (based on my visits to her blog/work) will appreciate them, if she stops by.

Thanks for sharing. I liked the medley and am more than willing to enjoy more of these fun tidbits, in among your deeper posts. ;)

  4. I wonder who would help me find one of my photos?

  5. Vincent - you've a lovely way of putting things. :-)

Francis - Tolkien and Aubrey Beardsley; both good topics for future posts!

Uschi - you're my biggest fan, aren't you? I've always suspected it. ;-)

imac - you are famous enough, in my book, that if one of your fine photographs ever goes missing, is then recovered but withheld from you indefinitely (as the Matisse painting is) a gaggle of women should certainly go topless on your behalf. ;-)

  6. I loved the swimming pool movie when I first saw it and feel the same way now - well worth a watch all the way to the end :-)

Ah, Shakespoke! I waded through a few and then picked this one:
Peace, good pintpot, peace, good tickle-brain.

Kay Nielsen's elegant watercolors have always seemed the most otherworldly of all the Golden Age illustrators. You know I've been very influenced by the watercolorists of that time. The one you've chosen is especially magical.

Don't you sometimes wonder if the FBI has a secret gallery in a basement of their headquarters?

  7. Susan - Kay Nielsen's style does remind me a lot of your work in its whimsy as well as style.

Jams and Sandy - thanks. :-)

  8. JM - that was the idea! :-) Thanks for stopping by.
