Feng Shui

Longtime blogger and blogger friend Liberality, inspired me to seek the rooms of my dreams. If only virtually, I have been viewing images of rooms I would have if only I were wealthy, wasn't a pack-rat and didn't live with someone who saves the household a ton of money by working on our cars when they need repair and who routinely comes into the house from outside dripping with grease as a result. Oh and if I lived in Southern California where the climate is such that all one has to do is close those wooden shutters  lead to the outdoor bed and sleep soundly on raw silk sheets all night long.  Sigh.

Here is the bedroom.

And because I live with an amateur mechanic, we'd need a bathroom like the one below to clean up in.

A girl can dream...

  1. I like dreaming because at this stage in my life that is close as I'm going to get toward my dream home. Oh aren't I spoiled? I don't care. I like order, art, and books spread about though so I clutter things up that way. This bedroom looks very peaceful and laid back. I can imagine rolling around on the bed reading my books before I got up to enjoy that beautiful setting.

I haven't looked at bathrooms yet so now I'll have to go check some out.

  2. Excellent choices! and I'm sure you'd have equally wonderful accommodations for your visiting friends.

I may have to find some dream rooms of my own to show.

  5. Sandy - aren't they?

    Liberality - ditto!

    Susan - but of course!

Spangle - excellent! Welcome and I hope you visit often.

Cloudia - if only I was your neighbor, I wouldn't be expecting a snow storm right about now. :-)

  6. That would suck - too much air and light and cozy comfort.

Trust me on this one. A dank, narrow hallway leading to a small windowless room with a lumpy futon on the floor in the corner is much nicer.

  7. Holy cow. I have so many conflicting desires for any room that I end up with a blank.

But I would LOVE that beadroom, porch and pool combination in your first photo. Dreamy.

  9. Oh, Running...I mean...Cunning Runt! Stop that, now. I didn't mind the futon when we were in our 20's, remember? ;-)

Steve - When it comes to just dreaming, it's not hard to find a few rooms that I'd like to live in. Then again, if I had those kind of rooms, perhaps life would become too confusing. (shrug) I will be by your blog soon. I hope you are holding up okay.

    Sherry - :-)

    Aguja - visit anyway! :-)
