Art in the Song

I collect songs about art. Well, of course, as if you wouldn't have guessed.  This one's by the talented and adorable Rufus Wainwright.

pssst...to enjoy it, you have to pay attention to the words.  ;-)

If you're interested in the lyrics of the songs I post, let me know in comments and I will make every effort to include them from now on.

Next episode will be a song by Joni Mitchell, which features her nod to Michelangelo.  Perhaps you know it...

Love and Peace,
Pagan Sphinx

  2. Mama Zen! Thanks for listening. Rufus is an amazing talent. The son of Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle. I suppose that explains it. Do a search if you interested in music that is difficult to pigeon-hole. Not exactly mainstream stuff!

I will have to play some didgeridoo music for your Baby Puppy. :-)

  3. Holy shit.

This kid SO blows me away. His delivery is so intensely passionate, whether the song is his or someone else's.

When I first heard him, it took me about two songs to add him to my Top Ten Male Vocalists Ever list.

But he lost me with the lyrics in minute three; perhaps a few more listens, or perhaps a little help form you?
