It was a lovely early evening in Greenfield, Massachusetts, around 3:30 yesterday, November 18, when I took these photos of a beautiful part of my commute to and from work. A few miles from here, it isn't so pastoral, with plenty of traffic mediated by traffic lights and a Wal Green on the corner. But this is a slice of paradise. And if you head northwest via the back roads, there are plenty of things to see in daylight and sometimes things to avoid at night, such as deer. I love where I live. And I am grateful every day for it.

Ooh a rural idyll! Nice photos
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely skies and clouds! Terrific captures of peaceful, great looking places -- that first one could be a painting! Happy SWF! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Gina!

What a soft, beautiful sky and open countryside. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteBoth shots are so beautiful! I especially like the bottom one.
ReplyDeleteI love winter but the thought of my recent trip helped me get through the dreaded summer. I hope your trip plans do the same for winter. :)
If this is what you see and experience after a few miles of driving in traffic, you have a wonderful commute. Wanna trade?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.

A beautiful spot on your commuting route can make up for an awful lot, can't it? I used to commute on a freeway with farmland on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. Not too shabby.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos and I know this part of your drive must mean a lot to you.
