  3. This looks like an old railroad bridge now set for passenger crossings across the Connecticut River. Iron isn't the first material we think of in artistry, style we might not see. Yet this bridge was designed for its function first, not style. Yet, the intricate web of iron leaves a nice looking item, and great shadows as well. There is artistry in this grand yet mundane bridge!

  12. I remember the clickety clump of the rickety ol' bridges we crossed as a child going to our cottage along the river, they're still there, but not as nice as this restored bridge is, but the memories are beautiful!
