I first heard this song, on none other than the valley's best radio station, WRSI, months and months ago. Life gets busy and I'm interested in so many things that I forgot about looking up this band until I checked out the playlist at WRSI and discovered that yet another song I heard by them was also excellent. I'm hooked.
Regarding the video. I haven't seen the movie and have no idea what that's all about...
I listened to the YouTube. Pretty good song. I have never heard of this band, so I did some searching. I got their repertiore from Wikipedia, then found more videos and music. I like this band. They remind me of the Pogues and of a much older bunch of Irish rockers that have a band called Boiled In Lead. If you go to their site, scroll down and watch and listen to a sample of an acoustic cut and an electric cut. They are considered a world music band and like the Decemberists, who are from Portland, OR, BIL comes from Minneapolis, MN, a similar smaller market venue. I haven't been here in a while, sorry about that. I was looking for the Friday Night Nudes, I got music instead and that is very very Okay!
Thank you for taking the time to say you've been here.
