Music for Sunday - John Prine- Lake Marie

A song that tells a story - actually two stories. This goes out to my friends Cunning Runt and his brother, Gary.
They have both been on my mind.

Nice words to the song.

Damn I got an error. Will definitely try later. I love a duet he did with Iris Dement called In Spite of Ourselves

Very cool! Love the Prine. Big fan of the album he did with Iris Dement.

Thanks!

I'm glad to see there are a couple of John Prine fants out there!

I've been a fan since high school when I first discovered the album Common Sense and I've remained a fan since and will be forever. The man is right up there as a songwriting genius.

I also like the work of Irish Dement but I'm not familiar with the album Lemme and Jams mention. I will absolutely check it out.

Thanks for coming by. Peace, love and all groovy things. :-)

What a great song, and his delivery makes it priceless. Can you imagine Bruce Cockburn trying to pull that off?

Thanks for having us on your mind. Loving intentions are never a bad prescription for what ails us.

Mona Lisa Smiles

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - The mysterious half-smile that has intrigued viewers of the Mona Lisa for centuries isn’t really that difficult to interpret, Dutch researchers said Thursday. She was smiling because she was happy — 83 percent happy, to be exact, according to scientists from the University of Amsterdam.
