  1. These are wonderful pictures.

Incidentally, today is Singing Bear's birthday. I wonder where/how he is.

  2. Her work really is beautiful, isn't it? I spent years of my life hand sewing quilts and have a very deep respect for anyone who continued the devotion to that level.

  4. I discovered her work when I checked out a childrens book for my children many years ago - Tar Beach, written and illustrated by FR, with the story quilts and other paintings. I also saw one large and two small story quilts at an exhibition in VT.

Thanks for enjoying this with me Bobbie, Susan and Jams.

    Many smiles,
    Gina

  6. These are wonderful - so expressive without being disturbing or pretentious. I hope all the fabrics are lightfast...

Her work reminds me a little of Hundertwasser.
