Spain and Portugal Photos and Comment Moderation

The Spain/Portugal slide show is now at the right, if you'd like to check it out. I'm still adding to it from the thousand-plus photos I took on this two week trip. I already miss those blue, blue Portuguese skies on sunny days. Only one rainy day the entire time we were there.

See what I mean?

Hundreds of spam comments (or whatever they are called) have been creeping into The Pagan Sphinx in the form of messages in an oriental language I cannot read and which link to porn sites. The comments are being scattered through past blog posts and I'm still plucking them out as I type this. I may not be able to delete them all, as blogger has no system I know of for deleting multiple unwanted comments. I utilized comment moderation once before due to unwelcome comments, but this is the first time I've had any problems with massive amounts of smut-spam.

My apologies for this but it's relatively quick to approve the comments through email so I'm not anticipating any communication difficulties.

  1. I used to get those Asian spam comments. I tried to block them, and it may have worked, since I haven't gotten any for a while. Do you get your comments in email? You can block them there.

  3. i set my comments up to go through my email as kenju suggested. i can go right to the post and delete them and i don't miss if someone happens to comment in my archive either. and no, blogger doesn't have a way to delete multis that i know of.

  4. I had this same problem a while back, which is when I went to the approval system. And I now see others having it. this guy crops up every so often.

I am going to enjoy your photos now. And I know I will enjoy them. I've been reading Celeste Maia's blog from Portugal, so I know how lovely the country is.

  7. The photographs are lovely and I'll look forward to seeing more. At least now the temperatures here have cooled to the low 90's so I can do a bit of visiting. Hope things are better there too.

A friend of mine had an uncle who was an engineer working in Portugal many years ago. He was made very welcome in the village where he stayed in the most beautiful house in the town. It was only after leaving he learned only when someone lived in that house did the village have electricity since there'd be someone to pay the bill.
    He never minded at all.
