Artist of the Week: Linda of Vulture Peak Muse

Self-portrait

Linda works and lives on a working ranch in California's Wine Country, surrounded by twenty-five acres of vineyards and a loving family. She mainly works with watercolors.

Linda maintains the blog Vulture Peak Muse where she shares not only her artistic process with her readers, but also demonstrates her generosity and loving spirit.

Here is a sampling of my favorite of Linda's paintings.

  3. Hooray! So glad to see these up over here. You got two of my favorites of hers in your line-up.

Seeing these all together I am struck all over again by the incredible colors Linda handles so well. Ancient Rainbow Oak knocks me out.

  10. One of my favorite artists. I have gotten so much out of getting to know artists like Linda, Susan (Adventures Ink) and Steve Emery through their blogs. I'm so glad you highlighted her.

  12. I was actually concerned that I didn't give Linda's work the justice it deserves. As I said in a comment on Linda's blog, my appreciation of art is usually very visceral. I'm usually at a loss for words to describe why. Linda's beautiful colors are no exception. I think they speak for themselves.

  13. Oh, and I forgot to mention who wonderful it is that shared blog friends like Susan, Steve and Lisa came by as well as some of Linda's readers and friends and some of my own readers and friends.

It made it so very nice for me and I hope for Linda as well.

  16. Hi Pagan!

Just wanted to stop by and say what a beautiful job you did presenting Linda's work. I'm a big fan of hers, so this made me proud! They all look awesome against your black background.

Also....I LOVE your blog header. I actually have a copy of that print, which I had framed many years ago. From the first time I saw that piece, I fell in love with it!

    So nice meeting you Pagan!

  17. I've just come over from Linda's . . .she needn't feel shy about her work.

Lovely, dreamlike paintings -- the last one reminds me of Chagall.

  18. Bee: yes! Chagall came to my mind as well! Thank you for coming over.

Ron: It's a pleasure to meet you, too! I've seen your comments at Linda's and I'm so glad you came by.

Libhom: you said exactly how I feel it. Thank you.

  19. Oh, and Ron. I forgot to touch on the Nymphs and Satyr. Isn't it amazing? It's a family favorite here too.
