Shadow Shot Sunday

The prayer flags in the front yard, sending out good vibes for peace and freedom

The Baby in the Garden
and assorted other garden shadows

This one is not of my yard but across the river in the town of Gill
taken on the same day as the others.

Later this afternoon, in the family room: the shadow from a carved wooden screen on the closet door in the family room.

Happy Shadow Sunday, thanks to our hostess Tracey at

  10. I love these, the snow is gorgeous, something I never see but the prayer flags...normally the prayers upon them are carried on the wind but, to me, with the shadows, it's like double the prayers! I really loved that one...

  14. The prayer flags are Tibetan Buddhist prayer flags.

Thank you all for the kind comments.

It was another cold one today, the daytime highs were in the lower teens but now, approaching evening, it's warmed to about 23.

Peace and love to you all. I hope you have a good start to your week

  19. Taking pictures is the only thing that gets me outside for any length of time in the winter. I'm slowly working working my way up to brisk walks. Very slowly. ;-)

  20. These are all wonderful, but I think the icicle shadows are my favorites. My friends just hung my new prayer flags out for me. I just love prayer flags.

  25. PJ: I'm disappointed I can't comment on your blog. There are several blogs that offer me a menu that includes "google account" but when I try to send a comment, I get no comment verification I can copy to send it. I wonder if turning off the comment verification would allow everyone to leave comments?
