Heart Mandala Award

This is such a beautiful award; both visually and symbolically. I'm very, very honored to have received it from my friend Liberality, whom I grow to admire and respect more with every post of hers I read. And that it was created with love by Susan, the subject of this art post, makes it all that much more special.

So many talented, creative, loving people deserve this award so it's hard to choose from among them. It's also hard for me to recall who likes awards and who does not, so if I pass this one to you and you're not an awards person, please feel no obligation.

For their heartfelt kindness and support:

1.) Steve at Color Sweet Tooth
2) Dianne at Forks Off The Moment
3) Betmo of Life's Journey

(My apologies to all for the delay in posting about my high regard for this award. I've been ill since Monday; struggling with an earache and congestion as well as a whole host of other related and unrelated ailments. Today, in the wee hours, I developed a massive headache that I've been fighting off all day. This is the first time today I have been able to be up and about. )

  2. You made me cry, I hate that.

I just posted a thanks to everyone for visiting me eve when I'm not posting LOL

I'm sorry you're sick. Have you gone to the Dr.? No neither have I ;)

I know what's wrong - it's the plague I tell you - the plague. One of those 7 day plagues that come with a different 24 hour ailment for each day.

    I love ya girl

I'm off to catch up on your other posts and find your Photo Blog.

  3. Congratulations and richly deserved.

So, I hear you want to switch to Pop Up window comments.

I figured it out by trial and error (which is why I'm not an engineer or a technocrat of any kind).

-Go up to the top of your blog page where it says "New Post."

-Then go to the tab at the top that says "Settings"

-There is a row of categories in blue text on beige at the top of the "Settings" page. Hit the category "Comments."

-Scroll down to "Comment From Placement"

-you will see 3 settings, "Full Page" "Pop-Up Window" and "Embedded Post Below"
Hit the bubble next to "Pop Up Window."

-Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit the button that says "Save Settings."

    And you're done!

  4. Congratulations, it is much deserved! So sorry you've been ill -- it is that time of year, isn't it. Hope you'll be better soon.

  5. Counterlight: C'est fini! Thank you so much for helping me with this. Otherwise, I would be accountable to the lovable but very persistent jcf, who made this request for pop comments. :-)

  6. Betmo and Di: I love you both!

Sylvia: Thanks so much for your kindness. My ear is still plugged up but the headache is gone, at least.

Di: I did go to the doctor but the anti-biotic is either not working yet or not going to work because this is viral. The freakin' plague, indeed!

  7. Ya did it!

    It was my pleasure.

    Again, congrats on the award!

  8. The only thing is (and I hate to be a fuss-budget) I don't like the pop-up window for comments because when I click on a new blog, all I get is that little pop up and I can't view the whole thing.

But if it means that I get to keep jcf around; I'll live with it. ;-)

  9. Glad to read that you are feeling just a little better. I will check out the people who you have given this award too shortly. Love your new icon btw!

  10. Congratulations on the beautiful award. You so deserve it.

  11. Lib: the icon is a Matisse. Reason I like it is because when I look at it, I identify a feeling I often have in inside: quiet (and sometimes not so quiet) bemusement. And a touch of irony.

    Thank you for giving me the award, Lib. This one really means a lot to me because it was created by our own lovely Susan. And given to me by our own lovely you! {hug}

P.S. You and hubby are such a cutie-pair! I love the latest avatar!

  12. Speaking of icons: I like the marigolds but I miss Bobbie's avitar of her as a grinning little girl!

I wish I knew how to scan photos. We have a scanner but all I've managed to do with it is create a tif (I think) file that I can't use in blogger. Admittedly, I haven't exactly gone out of my way to figure it out - I don't like messing with gadgets. WP has been kind of slow to respond to my tech request flags and well...we will get to it one of these days, I suppose.
