What a great, great day! I don't recall ever being so invested in a presidential election: on every level.
After eight bloody years of that asshat Bush! ( I said "asshat"? wow ;-) We have someone who I believe will work really hard to get our nation moving in the right direction. Unity should be the first thing but people are going to be all over him about The Economy; I worry that will delay getting started on other urgent matters: healthcare!!! That is a huge thing...but I just started something I don't have time to finish, ala.
Sorry about the disjointed comment, friends. :-/ I'm afraid I've begun to fret already. And then there's the unresolved Prop 8 situation as of right: it's too close to call. SG1 told me that there may at least a couple of legal battles over the whole mater of marriage equality. Ugh. Gimme a break. What's it to 'em. Bastards.
Highter Ground, pppfff We all have our moments of asshatery, don't we? :P
Love you, Dianne!
Hugs to everyone
Bear with me, as I'm feeling quite discouraged about Prop 8. I mean, I have this kid who has an intuitive sense of justice like you wouldn't believe. How can you deny people their rights. Sheesh.
We watched the live feed from Grant Park last night and one of my favorite moments was when 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours' played and everybody danced.
Thank you for taking the time to say you've been here.
