A Blog Award and A Survey

I am the recipient of this one Marie Antoinette Award because, according to Diva Jood, who bestowed it upon me, I tell the truth and she adores me. Or something like that. I guess I manage well enough with the truth by obviously leaving a lot of things out of my posts. I'm glad you like me anyway. ;-) And thank you.

Here are my picks for The Marie Antoinette Award:

DCup: Truth serum runs through her veins and I always want to give her one of these blog awards but someone always beats me to it. Probably as I type this, someone already has. But such is the nature of these things, I guess.

Linda at Vulture Peak Muse: You cannot come across as sincerely as Linda if you're not telling the truth. It's as simple as that.

Kelly at American As Seen By Kelly: She doesn't lie and she gives great gifts (see the post below).

Steve at Color Sweet Tooth: Even if Steve didn't tell the truth, his little frog and co-blogger, Grenouille would set the record straight for him.

Sylvia: I love her posts and her photos and if she is ever accused of treason, I will defend her to the end!

Kenju: She's no B/S and tells it like it is!

Now for the survey. It sort of fits with the theme of this post as I want you to tell me the truth about this. Those of you who visit here often have seen that little Hipcast Jukebox on some of posts. Well, it actually plays music when you click on it. What I want to know is, do you ever actually listen to the music? The reason I want to know is because it costs money and if no one listens to it, then I will cancel the subscription and go with the more visual (for better or worse) You Tube.

  2. Hey, thank you so much for the award -- with my big mouth it wouldn't surprise anyone if I got accused of treason, that's for sure. I appreciate all you do and thanks again.

  3. Sylvia: do you listen to the Hipcast jukebox I post sometimes?

  4. Oooops! forgot -- I hadn't noticed the music thing, shows how observant I am, but you can get your choice of music free if you want -- any kind. Take a look at http://www.playlist.com/

  5. Hi. Time permitting, I listen to your music. Or anyone's music. Except I kind of dislike the playlists that start whenever you go to a blog. Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are terrible, and sometimes they are too loud and distracting. Yours are usually what I consider good, and don't start unless I want them to.

  7. Thank you so much, Pagan!!!!!

I am so honored to get this award from you. Thank you.

I listen to the hipcasts if I'm at work. At home, I have trouble making them work because of the weak connection, but that's not unique to hipcast, that's with any stream, music or video.

  8. I listen most times but if it costs money find another way.

    isn't Marie a pretty award!!

today is one of those giving kinds of days - there is something over at 'Forks' for you.

  9. Pagan, your site is so beautiful you should get this award for aesthetics alone, but you are also a terrific blogger, and a wonderful commenter.

  10. It's true, you're a blogger of few words, but they all mean something. That's a tremendous characteristic in a blogger; some of us get lost in our thoughts and blather on forever. :)

Congtrats on the award, you deserve it!

  11. Thanks for the award! The frog never listens. He is tone deaf. He would certainly tell you that. But I do listen to probably half of them - it depends on whether I can allow any audio without losing my train of thought...

  12. THANKS for the award. I hope I can figure out how to put it in my sidebar (they usually just end up in a post). Having been to Marie's home in 2006, I'm honored!!

No, I don't listen to anyone's music because I usually have my own playing while I'm on the computer.

  13. In answer to your question all I can say is - sometimes. Not helpful, I know. Love your blog anyway (but you know that already).

Congrats on the award. Much deserved for one of the most fascinating blogs on blogland.

Peace and Love all that stuff.

  15. Because of my satellite bandwidth restrictions, I CAN'T play the music on blogs-it uses it up like crazy. I usually have my own playing anyway...hope that helps?

pagan, thank you for the award! I love the picture and accept it graciously...as for passing it onward, that is always my problem... thank you for thinking of me! my question-if I don't pass it on, do I not accept it?? I'm not sure on the etiquette of these things...

  16. Linda: you can do whatever you wish. There are no rules or you can make up your own. If you want to accept and not pass it on, that's fine. If you want to accept it and not post it, that's okay too. Whatever you (or anyone is comfortable with).

There are people who don't like these awards at all and have told me so and I have not been in the least bit offended. It's really just a fun game but not everyone likes the same games. That's how I feel about it.

  17. All of you folks, a huge thank you for your kindness and appreciation. I think you're all amazing people who pour so much of yourselves into your blogging. I can't believe my good fortune in knowing you're out there and that you like coming to my blog. Means the world to me.

    Love and Peace,
    Pagan
