  2. He loved women, indeed. I feel it in his faces. He makes them up with blush and playful eyes, the way he sees them, the way he wants them to be.

  5. Pagan - I did not know that about Modigliani's life (and death). Like Vincent. We're usually late to get it, and visionaries suffer.

    These are gorgeous. It's obvious to me that he made a kind of love to these women in the way he sees their figures (caresses their figures) with color and form. Like Renoir, he was obviously a lover of women and the female form, and he captures that in his art. So different from an Ingres figure, for instance.
