More loveliness. These look more like what I see in the mirror, too.
The Vallotton reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's girlfriend is naked all the time. "There's good naked and bad naked. Squatting is not good naked."
The Vallotton reminds me of two things. First - one of my favorite block prints, period, is Vallotton's La Paresse (Indolence). You can see it here. I love the way this is arranged, framed, the bold use of the black and white, the moment captured in it. It is another lovely nude, from another time's more sensible aesthetic.
Second - I have always had a typical male's mild curiosity about how much breasts might get in the way. The Vallotton in your post made me think of it again...
Steve, what a beautiful block print - I love the cat, it's so real in its stylization!
And DCup, the Vallotton is my favorite, and Jerry Seinfeld (the character, not the person) is a bona fide douche-bag for not recognizing the beauty of a squatting woman (or any woman, for that matter, or any squatting man, for THAT matter;)
How do I begin to answer Steve's question. I'm currently a D Cup. When I put on weight, it goes to my breasts. Even more so than to my hips, though there is plenty of meat there too!
Anyway, the D Cup size boobs do get into stuff. I personally prefer the C cup of my more slender self. Less unruly but not as voluptuous; which is nice, I think. :-)
That Vallotton is gorgeous and the curvy, busty woman is beautiful, I think.
I like the Botero best -- I never looked that lovely when I was bigger.
And boobs in the way -- well, mine got surgically reduced after some years of physio for my shoulder -- but they certainly got in the way when I tried archery and golf.
Pagan -- what I MEANT to post in the comments is how much I like a nude with elephants!!! You don't have one with a lion, do you?
Thank you for taking the time to say you've been here.

PS, great post, and beautiful pictures!
the shin tone on the last is lovely.
ReplyDeleteC.R. - On Seinfeld, agreed. I've seen naked crouching that I think is quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteSteve - Breasts can get in the way. I have a habit of dipping mine in my plate if I'm not paying attention.
Love them. Also enjoyed Cunning Runt's offering.
ReplyDeleteI take such comfort in the fact that I will not be the first to say - "they look like me"
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful are we!

But no one mentioned the pets. ;-)

The second image has elephants in the background, I just noticed. There you go, Kate! I will otherwise keep looking. ;-)
