  7. all so beautiful

I've often thought how amazing it is that painters depict women as they really look while fashion and their photographers create women as they'll never be.

I wish all young girls could travel through museums and see what's really beautiful.

  8. I think the Bonnard is my favorite. It's unposed, natural slice of daily life - in the nude.

But I was surprised at how visually, I'm so drawn to the Klimt. It looks like a tapestry and the rich colors just do me in. And in general, I'm not especially fond of Klimt nudes.

Dianne: I agree with you 100%. But I'd like to add a perspective from my daughter SG1, an ardent soul and feminist: she likes all in this particular sampling and doesn't have a problem with painted nudes in general except that sometimes she sees the pose and the "laguage", if you will, that the painter chooses to interpret as a male perspective. She wishes that more women painted other women.

As a result of what she said, I'm on a quest to find women artists who paint other women nude. I used to have a couple in my old harddrive before it crashed and took my image files with it and I don't recall the names. If you have names for me, please let me know.

Thank you all for stopping by and
    Namaste
