Yesterday's Walk Reveals It Is Spring

W.P. cutting down some pussywillows for me.

The beavers have been hard at work.

See?

We went to this spot because it's a wetlands area known to have pussywillows growing and beavers knawing. This area has been targeted for a Wal-Mart mega-store for over a decade. I'm too lazy to do the research but it was, I believe, twelve or so years ago that a local citizens group kept Wal-Mart out of town. So far, so good at keeping the bastards out.

  1. I hope they keep them out! Walmart is the worst! A big one just opened near us, and friends can't understand why I won't go and "save money". I guess they don't listen when I tell them.

  2. I despise Wal*Mart and all they stand for. They actually took over one of our large, generally pretty dreadful, supermarket vhains and made it even worse!

Glad Spring has sprung for you!:)
