love is a place
& through this place of love move
(with brightness of peace)
all places
yes is a word
& in this word yes live
(skillfully curled)
all worlds.
ee cummings
So much meaning and emotion, captured in so few words.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
I'm so glad you like it, CR. I've been lovin' ee cummings these days...
ReplyDeletePeace to you,
P.S.
I have appreciated and even loved e.e cummings since highschool, but forgot about him during my journey through this life.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for reminding me. You have no idea how happy it makes me this morning.
Dusty, thank you for stopping by. Sometimes I think that this blog is sort of my high school alter-ego come alive. Without all the angst and self-doubt, gratefully.
ReplyDeleteAnything without the angst and self-doubt has to be a good endeavor Pagan Sphinx ;)
ReplyDeleteLife seems to have gotten in the way of many artistic things I loved and appreciated in my formative years. Cummings poetry was read daily by me at various points in my early life. I could quote my favorites of course.
I even wrote in the 'style' of e.e. cummings in my creative writing classes, and had huge arguments with my teachers about my 'right' to refuse to use traditional punctuation.
I lost of course ;p
I also worship the works of Georgia O'Keefe who I noticed on your sidebar.
Dusty: Ha!I had the same debate with my English teacher, junior year of high school! I don't remember what I said but I did manage to get her to crack a smile once - she NEVER smiled. The major triumph of my high school career!
