Ruby Tuesday

One of the more interesting and culturally interesting buildings I saw and photographed while visiting San Francisco this summer. This is the Women's Building at the corner of 18th and Mission.

SOOC and Macro Monday

Dahlia

Mellow Yellow Monday

I visited Santa Barbara, California this summer to spend time with my daughter and daughter-in-law. There is an annual Summer Solstice Parade there; one of the biggest in the country. It was such a blast!  Here we have a Mellow Yellow Bird Lady atop a float with The Chesire Cat. Could that mean that she is "sitting in the catbird seat" ?  What do you think?

Today's Flowers

The Dahlia

All of these images were taken at the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, on the Deerfield River on September 5.
Once an abandoned trolley bridge, it has been turned into a garden path and maintained for 80 years.

Weekend Reflections, Watery Wednesday and Shadow Shot Sunday

Wow. This  photo duet covers a lot of "meme" territory!

A boat on the same dock as ours on the Connecticut River, shows off jewels from the light-play on the water. Meanwhile, the water itself reflects the sky. This one was a fun surprise.

This photo shows the boats on the deck next door to ours.

Sky Watch Friday

In recent Sky Watch posts, I've been featuring Nova Scotia, where we travel each year for a week or two. This photos, however, is a sky I don't have to travel very far to enjoy, as it is practically in my front yard.  I see a stretch of this river, the Connecticut, from our picnic table. This particular photo was not taken on land but from the boat we take out on the river throughout the summer to cool off.

The temperatures in the Northeast have been in the mid-90's F. this week. This photo wasn't taken this week, though. If memory serves, it was a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly, it was much cooler than it has been this week of public school re-opening. But that's New England for ya.  ;-)

Wordless Wednesday

Window Views

I usually post photographs I've taken of windows, with a preference for "quaint".  Today's post is a departure, yet I fell in love with the lines and glass of this building in San Francisco.
