Resisting The Urge

Note: I want to apologize for not commenting on blogs and for not responding to comments in a timely fashion. I'm incredibly busy with work; having taken on a few projects that require extra time at home. I've also been trying to take advantage of the beautiful weather while it lasts. There just isn't time in a day to do everything that needs to get done; let alone things I enjoy, like blogging.

My goal is to catch up on blogs over the weekend. Till then.

Love & Peace,
Pagan

Peace Tree

Thursday is Peace Tree night. Go on over and read my post entitled Surveillance.

But before you go, here is a post-related song that should take you back. In 1967, I was eight years old and I'd just immigrated to the U.S. with my family. I loved this song, didn't really understand it for many years, but in the three months it took me to learn the language fluently, I remember loving the line "young people speaking their minds" - thinking that a very, very good idea. :-)

Paranoia strikes deep;
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, The Man come and take you away...

The Peace Tree

Being unable to write anything substantive lately, I posted two videos on autism at The Peace Tree. I hope you can make it over. You should especially read this post while you're over there and also the comments, which are excellent.

Peace, my friends.

The Peace Tree

My post, Jazz: Transgender Children and Gender Independence is up at The Peace Tree, if you care to read it.

And while you're there, check out incredible, original poetry and art by the one and only Poetryman, The Peace Tree's keeper extraordinaire. There are many other great bloggers who contribute: Dark Daughta, Betmo, Enigma4ever, Case Wagenvoord, Graem, Mentarch and Robert. I hope I've not left anyone out.

Yours in Peace,
Pagan

The Peace Tree

My post, Mad Pride Part III is up at The Peace Tree.

I'd like to leave you with a song called To Live Is To Fly written by the late, great Townes Van Zant. It's recorded by Guy Clark on Poet: A Tribute to Townes Van Zant.

This one goes out to my friend singingbear, with peace, love and many prayers.

The Peace Tree

I was kindly asked by my friend poetryman to contribute to the blog The Peace Tree. I doubt it's my creative and entertaining writing style poetryman is seeking with this invitation but instead I'm hoping he asked me because he can detect in the lines of The Pagan Sphinx, a commitment and dedication to the causes closest to my heart: peace, justice, mental health and GLBT issues.

Go on over and read my first post at The Peace Tree! I will be contributing posts every Thursday from now on. While you're there, check out the posts of several fine bloggers including poetryman, of course, and my new blog friend betmo of Life's Journey.

If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace.
