I think that's my favorite song of all times. The images are so powerful, yet disarming; it reminds me of our parting of ways, and the deep sorrow, and the acceptance of what had happened.
That's an Artist for you; he elicits very personal reactions from so many who listen to him.
BTW, my CD of Alice was in my Forester when I totaled it, and was irretrievable, belonging, I'm told, to the insurance company which had taken my money for the past year.

Bear: It's an amazing song. It's hard to believe that he didn't borrow the lyrics from some very good but obscure poet. I guess he IS a very good but obscure poet!
