Pronounced NamaSTAY.
Rainmaker from Musings of A Creek Dipper by Victoria Williams
I'm not sure how the song fits in but somehow it does in my mind.
I'm not tending to turn into a new age spiritualist in any big way but this greeting and all that it implies, makes perfect, beautiful sense to me.
This is a gorgeous post filled with just the sentiments to start my day.
ReplyDeleteFor that I say thank you and Namaste!
I like the way the video addresses duality and oneness, which I believe are essential to any good living.
Without unity in ourselves, peace in ourselves - how can we expect it in our world?
It must emanate outward.
Om Shanti my friend.
I was first introduced to the concept of Namaste by Rain at http://rainydaythought.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteYour presentation here accentuates the beauty and power of that concept.
Namaste...
I don't really know much about this stuff, but it's all very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI got goose bumps.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely, Pagan. Takes me back to my days as a struggling Buddhist and, even though I've re-found my Christianity now, it makes me realise what a beautiful philosophy Buddhism is. Reminds me of The Sermon On The Mount. I've had a bit of a tough day. This has helped a lot.
ReplyDeleteNamaste to you and yours, my friend.
By the way, Victoria's song is lovely too. I've never heard much of hers but I really like her voice.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bear: I want you to know that you were thought of warmly today. Your blog is one I like to see everyday.
ReplyDeleteTake good, good care.
Pagan
Fran, you said:Without unity in ourselves, peace in ourselves - how can we expect it in our world?
ReplyDeleteSo true and yet it took this long to learn such a simple lesson.
It's nice to see you in the photo! I imagined you'd have a big, warm smile. :-)
Winston: Hello, welcome and thank you! I left a comment on your blog. Hope to go by there again soon.
Sandpiper: you with your incredible eye! Can't wait to get over there and see what you've put up for photos.
McCraven: I was so happy for you reading the current entry in your blog. Also really happy for you that your kids are moving closer to be with you. Many blessings.
This made me feel comforted and calmed my spirit after a trying day.
ReplyDeletethank you.
Dianne,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you came by and that it felt restful and peaceful to you here.
Peace,
Pagan
I say "Namaste" frequently, but when you say it, there's such a deep light in your eyes...
ReplyDeleteAs ever, you're a catalyst for introspection and re-evaluation. There's always been something about you which made me look deeper into my own life.
A Million "Thank-Yous," Gurrrl.
Namaste.
What a very nice thing to say, Broh. I do tend to look inward but for me, describing my journey is a very real challenge. I must content myself with images, music, thought and conversation. Alas.
ReplyDeleteNamaste
